Healthy Soils Information Day

Our very first Healthy Soils Information Day was held on the 28^th July.  Thank you to all who attended.  We hope you enjoyed the day and gained some valuable information to take away with you.

For those who didn’t make it, our guest speakers Agronomist Tony De Vere and Soil Scientist Shane Fitzgerald led some very valuable and informative discussions on soil health. 

Tony De Vere provided us with some practical knowledge on soil structure, utilizing a soil pit dug on site, whilst Shane Fitzgerald spoke about the role of inoculants in building humus, the latest science and case studies.

Stands on the day included:

Matt McKee from Premium Soil Conditioning; Danny Leacy from Sibelco Lime and Ged Plunkett on composting.

After a successful day we plan to continue the field days with the next one scheduled for some time in the near future.  Keep an eye on our newsletters for the upcoming date.
